GENE GUIBORD

GENE GUIBORD Biography

Guibord was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He studied at the Minneapolis Institute of Art, the Walker Art Center and the University of Minnesota. He has been an army medic, a professional baseball player, a teacher and a coach. His career as a professional sculptor began in 1984.

The limited edition bronze sculptures are handcrafted using the traditional lost wax method of casting. The beautiful patinas are unique and lasting. Guibord's work has been selected by collectors in the U.S., Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

GENE GUIBORD Statement

I am inspired by what I see in nature, and from a lifetime of experiences and impression… the touching scene of a doe and her fawn in a redwood forest… a solitary egret in a rice field… the diving, twisting birds of Lake Cascade… or the elegance of my cat. My aim is to capture the essence of a subject through line and form.
